Concert by Ivan Bosiljčić A COUPLE OF VERSES FOR US

Ivan Bosiljcić's project, music and poetry evening called A Couple of Verses for Us, is a combination of various art forms, with the covers of popular music themes, from the sixties to the present. Film music, Russian songs and contemporary pop music are intertwined with the poetry of great local and foreign poets, such as Šantić, Rakić, Antić, Dedić, Rajić, Jesenjin, Bodler, Radičević.

The premiere of this project was held in 2009 in Belgrade, and since it has awoken great interest with the audience, the evening was repeated three times in a row at Dom sindikata. Since then, Bosiljčić has been holding music and poetry evenings in almost all theaters in Serbia and the region, as well as in Austria, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.

The band on stage consists of eight musicians.  

Ivan Bosiljčić is a Serbian theater, film and television actor born in Uzice in 1979. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in 2001 and has since lived and worked in Belgrade. He is a permanent member of the drama ensemble at the National Theater. As an excellent singer and dancer, Bosiljčić is one of the most important actors of contemporary music theater in Belgrade. The first and so far the only winners of Sterija’s Award for the role in the musical are Nebojša Dugalić and Ivan Bosiljčić, who received this award for the role of Mane in the musical Zona Zamfirova in 2013. As a former reciter and an admirer of poetry, he holds music and poetry evenings throughout the region. In 2014 he became an Assistant Professor to Vida Ognjenović at the Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Dramatic Arts.
